FLOWER CARE

  • fRESH FLOWERS (wrapped or in a vase)

Congratulations on receiving a beautiful AZELLY bouquet of fresh flowers! To ensure they stay vibrant and last as long as possible, follow these simple care instructions:

    1. Unwrapping the Flowers:

If your bouquet arrived in a wrapping paper, carefully remove it. Be gentle to avoid damaging the delicate petals or stems.

    2. Trimming the Stems:

Using a sharp pair of scissors or floral shears, trim about 1-2 inches off the bottom of each stem at a diagonal angle.

This helps the flowers absorb water more effectively.

    3. Choosing a Vase:

Select a clean vase that is tall enough to support the stems without overcrowding them.

Make sure the vase is thoroughly cleaned to prevent the growth of bacteria.

    4. Adding Water:

Fill the vase with lukewarm water.

Add flower food if it came with the bouquet or you have some on hand; follow the package instructions for the correct dosage.

If you don't have flower food, a pinch of sugar can be used as a DIY alternative.

    5. Arranging the Flowers:

Carefully arrange the flowers in the vase, making sure they are not too crowded. Allow each stem its space to breathe.

Remove any excess leaves that may be submerged in water to prevent bacterial growth.

    6. Location and Temperature:

Place the vase in a cool spot away from direct sunlight, drafts, and heating or cooling vents.

Avoid placing the flowers near fruits, as they release ethylene gas, which can shorten the lifespan of the flowers.

    7. Water Check:

Check the water level in the vase daily and add fresh water as needed.

Re-cut the stems every few days to maintain their ability to absorb water.

  • Fresh flowers in a box

Congratulations on your unique AZELLY boxed bouquet with fresh flowers!

Some of our flower arrangements are made in boxes. Boxed flowers are ideal for gifting to people who won’t have time to take much care of the flowers.

They do not require a vase or other container to store them. A boxed flower arrangement needs no rearrangements to be made.

These boxed flowers look lovely as table centerpieces. Or for “Get Well” flowers in hospitals as they are easy to move around, and you don’t have to worry about them getting knocked over.

AZELLY boxed flowers should last a week, depending on their level of care. Check if the floral foam is wet or damp daily. If the foam dries out, it is less likely to take up water again, so try to keep floral foam damp or moist at all times.

Watering the flowers in a box is simple. Use a water bottle with a small mouth. A water bottle allows for better water control. Generally, 1/4 cup of water each day is enough to keep the foam wet.

Once again, you don’t want to overfill and stain your furniture.

If your delivery includes French macarons, do not eat them if you are allergic to eggs and nuts.
